With the new machines that measure the vibrations and sound, company’s like
Ping now can make a casting that sound like a forged. The difference is
much smaller in modern technology. Also forgings can get out of adjustment
when playing while cast clubs retain their specs. Very, very close these
days.?
you Twat
The main difference is cast head shot dispersion will be much wider than a
the forged head. In other words cast heads will never be as consistent as a
forged club. Cast clubs steel is always cheaper and harder. That’s good for
distance but not for accuracy.
When I look down at the club, I like seeing a thin top opposed to a wide
one. Also, although casting has improved and I have tried my share of
them….I plain out prefer the feel I get from hitting a forged
club….call me crazy but after 30 years of hitting 2 million balls, I
still get goosebumps when I watch the ball do what I want.
someone please explain why
Thanks
I had a cast driver, I was at the driving range, and it broke
vokey wedges are cast lol

This guy doesn’t have a clue about casting or forging metal. He may know
golf but not qualified for this topic.
Forged feels better than cast. Forged for feel, cast for power.
as someone who games the a4 irons (which are pretty much the same as the
CB2 and 3 that came in subsequent years) I would have to agree. They feel
great. I got them for a very cheap price as well. Love Adams irons. Not as
buttery as a Mizuno or Bridgestone or something of that nature, but very
nice.
cast
he did say both tho
Great input vaughangolf you dick!!!
Any chance of a review for some Cleveland clubs like the launcher driver
and mashie hybrid
The huge difference is that you can’t bend the cast clubs. When you want to
get fitted, the cast clubs can’t get bent. Therefore, if your looking to
get fitted, you want to get forged. And with the cast, also, as mark says,
you can hit the cast too solid, and it will never stop flying.
I think you need to calm down and stop trying to act smart.
Not impersonating. I was brought up in the foundry business and I happen to
know what I’m talking about. What’s your excuse?
Its a choice of better good shots vs. better bad shots. On the range I
enjoy the forged, on a long, difficult course, I like the cast.
but that’s wrong not? he says forged = cut away… that rather sounds like
cnc? isn’t forged, heating up a piece of steal and press/hammer it into a
form?
Great vid Mark. just wondering, could you please do a video on how to hit a
club that is a little bigger than the proper size variation. hoping to see
this on the next video.
I’ve got a set of Callaway Razr XF’s and they are simply the best irons I
have ever hit. They are Forged and so soft and sweet off the face so I
agree with everything Mark says here.
forged.
Its all about choice. Some prefer forged others prefer cast.
