I don’t get it. He’s advocating a 2P type downswing from a flatter 1P
backswing? Isn’t the point of a flatter 1P action to eliminate this timing
of actively dropping the hands prior to rotation? Hogan doesn’t do this. He
just rotated and reconnected all in one motion. Maybe this is for those
that struggle with OTT? ?

feet, feet, feet.I got something out of this video, but you guys that are
having trouble – look at your feet.Like the Guru says, “consistency”…Your
feet are imperative (imho) to getting your plane in line and dropping into
the “slot”. Just sharing, what works for me.?
One rule for every thing though. In the golf swing , arms ,legs , and
shoulders turn have 3 elements. A swing , lift , and folding. That applies
to everything.

Took this tip to the range and it immediately improved my problems coming
over the top. I’v recently come back to golf after a 5 year hiatus, and
I’ve been experimenting with more of a one plane swing because the
description of the mechanics simplified all my swing thoughts. The first
problem I experienced was thin shots due to coming over the top and
probably not maintaining my spine angle. Pumping the arms down first
solved both problems. I also found that letting the momentum of my arms
lead my body turn has provided better rhythm to my downswing.?

You are full of shit… You can’t just drop your hands the way you are
explaining… What you need to do is compress and that will automatically
drop your hands… You should remove this video…. It’s just wrong?

Yunskinator- You need more lateral motion with your lead knee and foot to
start the downswing. I suggest feeling like you shift diagonally to the
right of the target, feeling pressure more toward outside of left shoe.
Pressure should feel to you like it’s going toward pinky toe instead of
heel of foot. Exaggerate a lot at first

i have tried both swings over the years. This is ernie els style. to be
honest, both hit the same distance for me. similar golf scores with both
styles. if u can control direction of ball, all that matters is club head
speed at time of impact and hitting ball at sweet spot of club.
