  1. Great video as always Peter! It’s always nice to look at that beatiful
    swing of yours!
I thought about something though. I’ve heard before, like you mentioned,
that the tour average for angle of attack with the driver is slightly down.
How ever, it’s an average, which means that most players will not have an
angle of attack which is 1 degree down (or what ever the average is) but
something else. Some might be 3 degrees down, others might be 3 degrees up
or even more. How do we know that all the most accurate guys isn’t those
who are hitting up on the ball? Since you stated that it might be better to
hit down a bit, if you are going for accuracy 🙂 Just a thought…?

  2. Hitting down with a driver produces a glancing blow, more spin, lower
    flight and less distance

100% disagree with your video, you should NOT be hitting down on a driver?

  3. Here is a video on hitting the driver and if you should look to hit up or
    down through impact. Enjoy :)?

  4. Hitting up on the ball can give you more distance but if you can reduce the
spin, ie having a lower spin loft. For example if you hit up having a 15 °
launch but 3000 spins because you have a hight dynamic loft, you’ll get
better distance if you launch it at 8° with 3000 reps and the same BS.
    ????

  5. How does launch monitors measure if you hit down or up on the ball? If I
look at Rory McIlroy, he has a lot of forward shaft lean with his driver
but he pulls it up through the ball what is decreasing the spin loft –
hence less spin and more compression.
To me this forward shaft lean always looked like he hits down – but how do
    launch monitors see it??

  6. yeah I have heard those figures golfnija. thanks. it would be good to see
what petes numbers are like as he has struggled to keep spin down in the
past before he got a 7.5 degree driver. not many of those up at the local
    course.?

  7. could you do a video showing the changes in spin, carry and total distance
between up and down strikes. thanks. I hit my drives low on the face as
it is. I think my spin would be detrimental if I always struck down on the
    ball.?
