  1. hi mark im a 25 handicap golf an im improving quickly but i need new irons
what irons do you suggest i get

  2. I have tried both the VRS Irons from last year (I still use them today) and
the VRS Covert Irons and I would say the only real difference with them is
that the Covert goes a bit higher and a slight bit further (as Mark said)
but with the VRS from last year, I find that they are easier to control the
ball. My accuracy is much better with the VRS from last year, so that is
why I use them over Covert.

  3. I hit these last week at a fitting session, it came down to these or the
callaway x hot irons, which go even further for . Could not walk away from
a 6 iron that is going an average 196 yard carry. My only concern is the
gap that is being created between these distance iron and those with more
traditional set ups and how much further can they push it? Cheers

  4. Hey mark! Love the vids, do you think you can do a review of the
bridgestone j36 irons? I know theyre a bit old but id love to see your
    opinion on them.

  5. I was in between vrs, rzr x, or the rbz. Nike hit pretty good for me I got
up to 177 with a 7 iron. But I ended up goibg with rzr x. Could hit them
    more consistant and straighter

  6. Thank you for this vid finally! Little late but its all good! I’m a Nike
lover and all I use is Nike with the exception of my golf balls (proV1X)! I
was trying to decide if I wanted to go with something that will help me in
the next 5 years once I get pretty good or something that will help me
right now for only a couple years tops and it was between these and the VR
pro blades.. I went with the blades but thinking of getting these in the
3-6 irons. But thanks again for the vid!

  7. You wanna talk to the people I have played in matches with? I have hit
greens from 170 out all the time with my 9 iron. They have trouble
believing it too, but I guess you have to see it for your self to believe
    it.

  8. Mark one of our local shops has gc2’s i have gone directly from the
trackman across the street to the gc2 and the number’s variance between the
two units are quite high. Balls speed is few mph slower on gc2 and spin is
roughly 5-600 lower. Any tips on settings to check to explain this
    difference?

  9. The only trouble with nike clubs is their durability, I have the vr pro
wedges with the x3x grooves and after five months they look battered!

  10. These clubs are amazing. Gave them a go at the shop the other day, and my 7
iron distance instantly went up by 40 yards or so (160-200) I’m fourteen
and have been golfing on and off. These are really exceptional, they feel
great, look great, sound great, and above all, play great.

  11. Hi Mark, how do you always hit the ball so straight, it’s great and a lovely
swing by the way. Is track man having a rest?

  12. no that was with real balls and the numbers are spot on. GC2 numbers are on
the money in controlled environment with no wind or temperature issues. all
distance will be show with real ball data in the videos from now on thanks
    to GC2.

  13. Mark, I know that many people think the only reason OEMs strengthen the
lofts is for more distance, although that is one reason, the main reason is
to get the right launch characteristics with so much weight low in the
head. I know that if you bent one of those irons a couple degrees weaker
they would fly way too high and along with that they would go a shorter
distance. And they also get better marketing because everyone loves to hear
that you’ll hit it farther. Sorry for the long comment.

  14. I just tried these irons out today. I’m not sure what the deal was but I
tried the Cobra Amp Cell’s and hit the 7 iron about 160 (right on my
average). Hit these VRS Covert’s and hit the 7 iron 195. Guy at the golf
shop couldn’t believe it. Hit every club back to back (Cobra vs Nike) and
was at least 15 yards further on every one (even the 4). Definitely going
    to be buying these irons.

  15. i really liked these clubs, but i didnt find them as forgiving, i opted
with the first generation rocketballz, was averaging 164 yards with my 7
iron which was 7 yards further than these, and foubd to be more forgiving
on mis hits, plus that loud crack off the face just inspires confidence

  16. Mark’s current 6 iron Mizuno MP-64: 30° loft and 37.25″ length. Mark’s
siren 7 iron Nike Covert 31° loft and 37.5″ length. I wonder why the Nike
    goes further…
