Ping Doesn’t make adjustable drivers for one reason which I keep hearing
from all the fitters, is that taylormade shafts are known to be weak…. In
a shaft there is a spine that runs along the shaft, and when you start
adjusting settings the shaft spine is moved a few degrees a different way,
and that the shaft becomes weaker also losing distance as well. This is
just what I’ve learned from other fitters. Hope it helped
I was fitted for this club today and I must say, what this guy is saying is
spot on! I really wanted to buy a TM Rocketballz driver because I love the
look of them but my coach asked me to hit the i20 to see what I thought.
The results spoke for themselves. The main difference was my swing speed
was about 10-12mph faster on avg. (over about 30balls) than the TM RBZ and
a Cleavland which I tried. I understand this would translate to around
25yds further on average. I play off 10 and rate this!
