George Knudson was described by Jack Nicklaus as the man with the million
dollar swing and the 10 cent putting stroke; he was one of Canada’s Best
pros on Tour in the 1970’s with 8 wins on the PGA tour. George had to leave
us early unfortunately passing away at the young age of 49 due to liver
disease; he was one of Hogan’s biggest disciples! Lots of amazing stories
about that guy including how he hit 6 flag sticks in one round of golf!!

Hey Shawn, I have a quick question off topic with this lesson. My question
is; who is George Knudson and is he compared to be as greater player of the
game as Ben Hogan? I never heard of Mr. Knudson until today.
I like these rules segments…keep them coming.
Hey Mark! Thanks for that! This has to do with the grip/clubface
relationship; when you whip the club through to the target, how is it
flying? If the ball curves too much to the right, it is most probably open
at address…it may look square or closed to you but the grip play a VITAL
role in this so watch the “Proper Grip” and “Grip 2 wrist hinge” very
carefully…Maybe your parents would accept getting you my DVD; it would
really help in getting all the issues prioritized for you; Shawn
