Well I have an R1 right now, and it’s REALLY good, BECAUSE it’s low
launching. It’s the only driver I actually makes my ball flight flat. I was
playing a course with a 551 yard Par 5, and I had 215 in. Straight ahead,
no wind, flat (uphill if anything).
Chill your nuts. Get yourself fit for the sldr. thats the most important
thing.
hit this driver up against my R1 with the same shaft last week on trackman
and i can honestly say it is all cr*p the r1 goes further!!! don’t listen
to a word of what they say the r1 is the tour proven driver not the sldr
taylormade are pathetic with these ridiculous claims
I currently am using an R1 also and love the mid to high launch that I have
set the loft to. My local course is cliffside so wind is a big factor on
long par 5’s and it never seems to fail me. I enjoy using the R1 and it has
helped my game a ton. Hope you enjoy your R1 and have many good rounds with
it!!
My friend tried it at golfsmith and said it was crap. Were both on the same
golf team
I am the only guy who thinks this sounds like a Patrick Bateman speech a
little? Everyone’s golf clubs increased loft, they HAD too, it was the
professional thing to do. I hated the other bastard who had just 1 degree
more loft. I would kill him for 2 degrees more loft, nobody deserves loft
like I do. Driving distance, coefficients, titanium shafts. All the science
that went into the Space Shuttle goes into my golf clubs. I deserve loft. I
am the master of the universe. My clubs define me.
High Loft is a deal-breaker for me. I have a very high flight, and my
distance comes from flatness of ball-flight. Sorry Taylormade, I’m buying a
Krank next year.
You’re only getting distance because the spin rate is rediculously low.
Thats why pro’s are going to higher lofts because the spin rate is soo low
you could also decrease loft if you want with the adjustable neck hosel 🙂
