  1. WoW man this works well. I used a two finger grip for this throw before but
had limited transfer power. I can feel the difference with this grip
already, I changed it a little though because it felt too weird to have
both bottom fingers sitting there dormant just stabilizing, which I bent
the middle one to be another pressure point on the disc. Your wind up
instructions are excellent and releasing up and late works awesome. Every
time I learn a different way to throw, that will add further to my game.?

  2. @William Sago This is disc golf not Ultimate. It’s different throwing side
arm in disc golf. I know the guy in this video and have seen him throw 450′
plus accurate every time I play with him.?

  3. Your technique is very smooth and elegant like, I used sidearm almost all
the time last summer until I sort of broke my wrist and shoulder doing it.
Nowadays, I can’t throw sidearm at all. Both my style and hand durability
are not where they used to be. Every disc I throw flips over right away and
I feel immense pain in the shoulder region. I even took a 2 month pause
from using sidearm at all but it still hurts too much to use. Do you have
any experience regarding muscle tearing with sidearm?

  4. i throw sidearm and i just have trouble aiming it distance has never really
been a problem just roll when it hits the ground i just started playing a
few weeks ago and if there is a certin disc i should be using?

  5. @sk84life9393 taking a knife might hurt it but taking some light sand paper
and sort of rounding wont do much to them

  6. DUDE i just blew my shoe on 13 and needless to say i had a bloody toe!
    GREAT VIDEO!!!! GREAT I SAY A 10 A FrikIN 10!!

  7. i like throwing sidearm with a disc that flys straight or a lil
understable. i found that i throw the best sidearm with a star beast

  8. although he notes to keep your elbow tight to your body when you throw, he
doesnt really do it the demonstration part. If you continuously throw like
he did, i have found my forearm and tendon begin to strain, especially if
you’re not warmed up. it sucks and is painful. keep your arm tight and
SNAP! and I get NO distance with the V grip. 2 fingers tight on the rim and
you get greater snap. But hes the pro so what do i know. I did enjoy the
    video!

  9. @joekunedo the band is bodhi sesh. They don’t really play anymore but were
nice enough to give us permission to use some of their tunes for our
videos. They are on myspace but it’s not letting me put the link on here
but they will be easy to find.

  10. dude… i throw sidearm mainly and constantly drag my right big toe as
well! im thinking of making a cap out of sheetmetal to put on my toe…heh

  11. Narrow your focus down to one thing. When you drive do not let go of the
disc. The disc will pull itself out of your hand and you have to let it do
this to get the most d with consistency. If you are under 200 feet with a
mid I think there is a very good chance this is the problem. Do it in a
field first and don’t let yourself care if the first few are way off. The
disc may fly way off to the right a few times, but when you get the idea
down and execute things will come much easier.

  13. Nice video… well done. Wish I could throw forehand, but it hurts my arm.
(Lotta sadness in this world.) M

  14. Why split your fingers throwing sidearm.. Can’t you get more snap with them
together? At least that’s the way it is in ultimate…

  15. umm no, not the case in most players who are FH dominant. i use overstable
becuz i get tons of snap and when not throwing ovrstable plastic hyzers and
flat shots turn into annys and rollers. So when i want big d i gotta throw
overstable cuz big d only comes w/ arm speed and snap. and like i said u
cant snap understable to stable discs as hard w/ them wanting to flip. so
he is most definitely right especially since he did state he is FH dominant
and has excess amounts of snap like most FH players

  16. I never heard anyone say to squeeze the disc between the thumb and first
index finger knuckle as you’re throwing. Can’t wait to try it. It does make
    sense.
