All bloody crap ,,, keep your old clubs ,, take the money you would have
spent on the new clubs and take a series of lessons from a reputable
instructor.
You simply can’t buy a better golf game by falling for the garbage hype
spun by the club manufacturers.?
This is what sets golf back for amateurs. These club manies are pushing all
this bs toward golfers who don’t know any better. This makes big money for
club manies but courses are suffering because the number of golfers are
dropping. The economy probably being the number one cause but a close
second is this notion right here. I am blown away by the amount of people I
know who think the answer to their problem is new tech! Break the cycle.
This is a beautiful game and there is so much to it. So much more than
trying to hit it further or really think a club will fix a swing flaw.
Truth is, the specs such as ball speed and other factors are already
limited by rule so no matter what these goons say it is marketing. I know
it sounds repetitive but majority of ams would benefit 10 fold from
practicing 125 yards in. The only relevant thing with equipment is proper
fitting and personal feel. PERIOD!!!!!!?
guys guys you sound like you are all poor and cant afford modern clubs ,
and are taking it out on the guys that improve your game and confidence ,
you ever hit a 15 year old golf club , its no comparison to modern clubs
plus they look like crap my set cost £1500 + but gonna keep them for a
while if you can afford it then its no problem , you bring grandpas tin
sticks , i will bring my bio cells and my pristine bag and blow you off the
course you mess with the cobras and u better bring anti venom cos you’ll
get bitten! sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss?
If you go cast clubs, about the only thing different each year is the back
of the club. They can say anything, but the front is where you hit it. In
fishing, you can catch just as many fish in a 10 year old boat as you can a
brand new one. The fish don’t care either way…..the golf ball doesn’t
either. Golf companies are in the business of selling hope, and we all fall
for that…..lol?
@ Jay Smooth – I couldn’t agree more. After watching a shit load of videos
over the weekend I realized one thing.
It’s all sales.. Just watched a vid with Bob Vokey at an LA PGA show and it
hit me.. this is all a bag of shit.
All I can say is buy the best you can afford and learn the game, train for
a good swing and develop the feel.
I can’t stand to hear another new club video with the latest greatest tech.
Jay, Thanks for a refreshing comment getting to the truth of the matter.?
Like toothpaste how many diffirent types can you see on the shelfs of the
shops
I have used Ping Zing 2 for years & have never ever considered changing
them
God their not legal still 25 years on ! ( Must be something about them ! )
Buy Buy Buy ,the grass is always greener on the ofter side of the hill .
Its the love of the Game not the Equipment. Get a GRIP ( Not the club ! ) ?
just 1 of my clubs is more expensive than your whole set and your grandpas ?
I started with a set of south bay clubs. But went to the range everyday for
almost two years and my game was fairly good. I decided to upgrade all my
clubs and due to work rarely have time to practice so I have noticed my
golf game has regressed. Scores gone up, drive distance shorter, So point
is dont think clubs matter that much, need to spend more time on the range.?
Load of tosh, until you get your handicap under 80 use your old clubs, its
a complete scam. Taylormade are the worse, buy a good 2nd hand set get used
to them stick with them. . Speed Pocket (more like taking speed)..
precision lines milled and billets this just gets worse and worse . . with
all the technical jargon ?
After the fellow talked about the Cobra irons, it showed someone hitting a
ball. I have to say, that he should have taken his divot after hitting the
ball, not before. Hell, I know that and I am a high handicapper. ?
i go to bed with my 9 iron bio cell because its so hot right now ,young and
can last all night , unlike your rusty old hag sticks bought from gumtree ?
Miura blades handsdown.?
Buy last years “best clubs ever” and get them for 1/2 price.?
so, which clubs are the best? Question unanswered. Probably the ones you
own, or you just bought are, otherwise how can you explain your extreme
investment? drove my wife to the driving range a couple of days ago, the
trainer first would insist, she had the wrong irons, she should have
graphite clubs. many make more buisness selling new golf clubs than out of
lessons.?
I agree with alot of the comments below. To me it’s all about feel and look
at set up. I have G-15’s and hit some great shots but also hit some poor
ones….Nothing to do with club, just my swing.
Take your current club to a Golf Galaxy, Golfsmith or anywhere that sells
clubs and has a simulator. Hit your 7 iron and the latest greatest 7 iron.
When I did it, alot of the times my current club went further and had a
better launch.?
The only reason to buy new irons is if the grooves in your old irons are
worn down/damaged and are beyond repair. Even then, get on ebay or
craiglist and find a nice, mint set of used clubs at a fraction of the cost
of these new ones.?
Any one notice the people hitting the clubs all looked like bad players??
This is nothing but an ad. What I like about the golf industry, no one
will come out and say which product is overall better than the other guy. ?
??? YouTube ?????????
A forged muscle back blade (Titleist MB or Mizuno MP for example or old set
of Hogan Apex or Wilson Staff) can definitely let you know if you’re a
decent ballstriker with the irons because any shots toward the heel or toe
(especially the toe) will feel terrible and the ball won’t go very far.
Also, minimal offset in the blade will be better for you if you draw the
ball which is a tendency in the better player. I think the average
once-a-week duffer (who has a terrible grip and who hits with a big
over-the-top move and kind of chops at the ball steeply—doesn’t use the
lower body at all) who slices the ball could benefit from a game
improvement type iron. Slightly closed faced (offset) with a cavity back
and larger head size. If your clubs are 20-30 years old I think your
ballstriking could improve marginally with a new set. It’s just money $$$.?
humans have a way of over complicating things. get yourself a set of blades
from the get go and bash some balls until you can hit it straight, it will
help with ball striking jnd it also looks nicer at address, you will know
if you toe or hit it out the heel, the club will give you peace of mind
that you will squeeze the ball off the turf and take a divot.
these clubs with bigger heads and soles than King Kong’s dick don’t do
anything more than create more resistance at impact the crucial area, you
don’t cut bread with a blunt knife now do you.
learn on blades you will be better for it!?
My gosh the comments on this video are what golfers need to read. There is
more truth telling here by far.
I see on the stats that 207 people bought new clubs – lol?
Mizuno is really good. Titelist is good too?
Mentioning the top of the line irons from all the manufacturers doesnt
qualify as the best irons of 2014. Maybe most expensive is all.?
Yes, by paying $900 each month for clubs and adding 2 yards is a very good
buy.?
