  1. Cobra AMP Irons reviewed and tested by Mark Crossfield PGA professional
AskGolfGuru. Mark hits the orange branded offering from Cobra golf and
talks about who might enjoy such a golf club. The AMP irons standing for
advanced material placement offer a cavity back heel toe weighted iron that
delivers launch and distance. Does the AMP iron do what Cobra say it does
or is it just all marketing gone mad. Mark answers that question with what
he feels it brings to the table.?

  2. Hi again how would these compare to the wilsonStaff ci11’s im off 32 and
    want to get lower??

  3. Bought these about 1 month ago. I am a 14 handicap and they are really easy
to hit, and launch nicely. The light weight steel shaft makes them easy to
swing and you always know where the head is through the swing. I didn’t
care for the orange, but you get used to it. Be warned though, they have
strong lofts and you will need the gap wedge.

  4. mike could you possibly make a review on the AMP FORGED irons? im looking
foward to buy them but not a 100% sure. THANKS A LOT !! greets from
    Argentina

  6. I tested this clubs today. I love the design and I relly liked the felling
when holding and hitting the club. But I feel like i can not work the ball
around as mutch as I want too. I am using titleist cb by the moment. I am a
vero low single handicaper. I would relly recomend the cobra for someone
    from 6-20 handicap.

  7. do you ever lose your swing?i am now 65 but i keep fit. 12 handicap but now
and again i lose it with the the irons ,last time it took me 8 weeks to
come back, had to play all woods except p/w,and leave the irons alone, really
hurts, what does somebody as good as you do when it goes wrong,it drives me
    mad. thanks jon.

  8. i bought the amp irons and at first the orange kinda put me off but i
couldn’t argue with the results. I really wanted the amp forged but they
don’t make them in lefty so i had to settle. but none the less after the
new shafts to keep my ball lower i love them they feel great

  9. I hit these and loved them, but don’t be fooled by distance. the only
reason you might be hitting the 6 thru AW further is because they lowered
the loft on these clubs. i compared them to the current set i own, and they
decreased loft by 1 degree, that’s why on average, my 7 iron is going 165
plus. The 6 is one less degree, the 7 iron, and so on, all the way down to
AW. great feeling clubs though. i’d love to get a set. the grip is also not
round, in which for me felt great in my hands.

  10. what happened to the helpful videos you used to do?! YouTubes format sucks
but I haven’t seen a tips video in a while (other than the swing fix vids),
just busy or are those videos giving way to the swing fix and the demo vids
    like this?

  11. Hey Mark. Love the channel. Could you compare the SM4 Vokey Wedges to the
    Cleveland 588 wedges? Thanks.

  12. Same can be said about pretty much every manufacturer really. Especially
TaylorMade. PGA should have a new rule that clubs must have their lofts
stamped on them and not what has become an almost arbitrary number. The
harm is that AW has become the new PW. 3W, 2i and 3i are about the same
which means more irons than necessary and one less wedge in the bag.

  13. When I think of cobra golf, I think of 60 year old men smoking cigarettes,
playing golf with their shirt not buttoned up the whole way (so that a lot
of chest hair and a gold chain is showing). Either that or some stiff like
hale irwin, trying to look as serious as possible while he lays up on every
    other hole.

  14. stronger than all standard clubs. 7 iron carry around 185-190. They also
felt amazing on flush hits and offered a decent amount of forgiveness.
Could easily shape the ball with these clubs. Long story short, I put my
order in after I left the range, Ill be picking them up soon.

  15. Mark- how come when you say the word “cavity” you sound a bit like Smashy
and Nicey talking about the work they do for “charidee” (mate). I like to
do a lot for charidee mate…don’t like to talk about it 🙂

  16. just got mine today, the 7 iron and down flies right off the face with
tremendous speed and added distance, while the 8 and up have a dampened and
controlled feel. Love these and were a huge improvement from my old set

  17. Yeah you are right. But if I am upgrading from my cb it will probably be mb
haha. So in love with the titleist forged

  18. Quit trying to be funny and give us the dope on the clubs without acting
    dopey pleeeeeze!
