I`ve been hitting shanks and slices with my irons this season, but this
advice cured the problem immediately. This is fundamental basics every
player should think of?
This tip completely changed the way i strike the golf ball and has lowered
my average score by double digits. Take this tip to heart, guys- practice
those punch shots, and transfer that feeling to your full swing. Thanks
David.?
RIP Stevie?
i REALLY doubt that.
You have trouble hitting fat shots? Why, it’s easy to hit fat shots — just
be sure to hit the ground before the ball. Piece of cake.
…Why are his…. pants so high?
haha a scoopy type of action leadbetter lingo
i slice it so much i’d be better off running a vasectomy clinic.
@Jarmod why would you want to hit a fat shot?
hi could you have a look at my golf swing im fourteen years old!!
His shirt has more pleats than his trousers. Good tips though
@Chipinjack So true it is all about impact position. Hitting down on the
ball (like I have been attempting to do) only creates a huge divot and a
fat shot. Now, I am focusing on impact rather than lag; the results are ten
times better, utilizing this drill.
@MrRagnello17 He’s wearing high waisted khaki’s… it was a 90’s thing.
It’s a drill to get you to feel the proper position of the hands leading
the clubhead through the strike. As you can see, he’s making short swings
with an abbreviated follow through to emphasize/ingrain the proper feel.
This guy got Nick Faldo 6 majors. So I say listen to his advice everyone !!
I Sometimes Have Trouble Hitting Fat Shots.
That polo shirt is a couple of sizes to big for him!!
This “secret” doesn’t help you hit shots closer really it just helps your
strike or ball flight. You can still do this with an open or closed face
and hit a bad shot.

DL, your’e my hero in teaching! I must leave my 36+ this summer.
@senorchipotle maybe so but good crisp iron shots are still very much in
fashion
I’m a bit confused. Here DL positions the ball towards the back off his
stance, yet in his video on ‘ball position’ he says for EVERY CLUB position
the ball about 2″ inside the left heel, so what it it David?

What does being 14 have to do with your swing?
