  1. I haven’t been able to consistenly make solid contact with my driver for
over a month now. Is it because I hit my irons too much? I seem to catch
the highest part of the face and I pop it straight up and it goes 100
yards. So I tee the ball low with the top of the ball level with the top of
the club face and it does the same. So today I put the ball further away
from the center of my club face so that I could still stretch and hit
center because I thought I was hitting the hozzle, no change?

  2. Hello @Unplugged704. Is your right shoulder dropping on the backswing or
forward swing? If it drops on the backswing, then you are coming out of
posture with your upper body. Your shoulders need to rotate around your
spine angle that was set at address. Feel your left shoulder rotate past
your chin so that it is lower than the right shoulder at the top of the
    swing.

  3. Before Golf,I played AA semi pro baseball and was notorious for pulling
hits down the third base line. So now I close my stance 2°or 3° at address
and now I’m hitting lighting bolts down the middle of the fairways, because
my full turn was finishing way too far to the left, almost looking behind
me. The main problem to my golf game was the tee shot, but not any more
    baby,I’m killing it……….

  4. Hey great video thanks. I got a quick question though…when i drive I
always no matter what end up curving it to the right can you help me out?

  5. If the right shoulder drops too early in the forward movement, then you are
coming out of posture with your pelvis. Feel your belt buckle continue to
point at the ground, or your tailbone and butt stay up, in the transition
through impact and you will stay in posture.

  6. Then make sure your sternum and nose are slightly back of your belt buckle.
From that set up, feel that you are swinging the club through the ball up
to a spot in the distance like the tree line, a chimney or a distant
    hilltop. Hope this helps.

  7. Hello NuclearFissionBomb. Thank you for the comment. If you have something
else to add we’ll be here.

  8. I’m doing what you’re doing in this video, but for some reason it’s getting
an extreme amount of fade and it’s like a major slice after 40-50 yds. I
cannot seem to figure out, I’m keep the club face square and I’m not too
far from the ball. I’m using a Titleist D1 driver.

  9. Hello NuclearFissionBomb. I’m working on finding you an answer as we speak.
    Thank you.

  10. Hello MotionGavin. A slice is from an open clubface. The open clubface can
be from grip, setting the club incorrectly in the backswing, or a bad
transition forward that doesn’t allow you to square or close the clubface
through impact. You have to find a way to get that clubface closed.

  11. If you don’t have time to practice, aim a little left and enjoy walking
down the fairway! Most of the tour players would love a consistent little
cut shot off the tee all day! I hope this makes sense, Matt. Thank you.

  12. I’m a newbie..but, I have a terrible fade..I contact the ball very
well..but, after about 100 yards, it starts to go right!!..and sometimes it
ends up going 90 degrees!!!!..what has helped me is to take the club back
on a more shallow back swing, slow down your whole swing..and drop your
right shoulder as you begin your down swing. Also, try to keep your elbow
down and inside (right elbow)..this is not easy!! I’ve been golfing nearly
daily for six months..and am just now overcoming my slice!

  13. At setup I do everything right.. however once I start my swing.. I have a
tendency to dip my right shoulder. how can I eliminate the dipping of my
    shoulder?

  14. Hello Evan. Hitting the ground with a driver can be caused by many things,
but generally because of an intent to get the club “DOWN” to the ball from
the top of the swing. We actually want to have the driver moving on a
slightly upward path through the hitting area. At address, make sure the
ball is forward in your stance, just inside your forward heel.

  15. Hello Matt. Thank you for the kind words. I will have to answer your
question in several posts. Any curvature in ball flight is caused by
sidespin. Sidespin is caused when the path of the club through impact
doesn’t match up with the clubface. So when you get curvature to the right,
the path of your club is going left of where the clubface is pointing at
impact. The ultimate cause can be one or more of many things…grip, arm
rotation, swing plane, incorrect body motion or sequencing, …

  16. Also, a good set up and coil behind the ball, followed by a proper shift of
the lower body toward the target, will allow the club to be swung into the
back of the ball, instead of down at the ball. This sequence usually gets
messed up when the shoulders and upper torso start the down swing. Thinking
of a forward swing to the target instead of a downswing at the ball will
    help.

  17. I like the video and delivery, makes it seem easy- which it should be.
    Thanks for the informational video

  18. Wow I had it all wrong! One thing I’ve noticed (I’m a beginner at golf, 3
games) is i tend to hit the grass alot when I go to drive. What would be
    causing this?
