  1. I have a question for you Mark! I’m fairly new to golf but im a big guy, im
6’2 250lbs yet i only drive around 230yds, is this because of my clubs or
technique? Any way i can get more distance on my drives??

  2. Mark i have a question, I have just started to play golf, how can i make
sure i hit the ball consistently.. usually i top it or miss. Hopefully this
    makes sense. ?

  3. The Dave Pelz study was extremely inconclusive in the fact that it didn’t
test the broad range of conditions of a chip shot I.e. Chip and run,
landing in the hole, at speed, in the centre etc etc the reason I
personally would take it out is because unless it hits the flag stick in
the centre it often imparts spin on the ball when it hits the outside of
the pin causing it to spin around the
Iip out of the hole. Personal preference, pros and cons?

  4. The Pin is a visual reference for me. I leave it in when I am 30 ft away if
    I am chipping or putting..?

  5. I was about to write what WTDG wrote…something like an 80% chance of
holing it with flagstick left in hole.?

  6. Dave Pelz did a study where he found out that leaving it in is more
    beneficial than taking it out….?

  7. I would explain this differently. Or I would give you tools to realize why
pros take the flag out. Play one round without taking the flag out of the
hole even when putting. You willl very soon realize that the flag will
prevent your ball from going in the hole surprisingly often.

Take those flags out when chipping.

That 1 in a hundred bad chip you hit too hard and manage to hit the center
of the flag to drop it in is not worth the 1/3 of chips that will lip out
because the flag shoots the ball out.?
