  1. That’s the beauty of golf no swing on tour is the same, as mark says it’s
all about impact doesn’t matter what it looks like as long as you get the
    club back to square?

  2. As MC says, has to be in reference to impact to improve the strike. But
that said in general terms, a downswing in a good swing with good impact is
always ‘narrower’ than the ‘takeaway/backswing’. So it’s often said if the
‘takeaway/backswing’ is way too narrow to start off with and that makes the
downswing even narrower then impact, speed through impact won’t be as good
as it could be. So you need width but your arms still have to be in sync &
connected to your body turn going back for it to be ‘good width’ that will
help the connection in the downswing swing and the strike.?

  3. A coach should be trying to find the root of problems. Any work should be
done by starting from setup. Grip, stance, etc. Then you would go to the
takeaway then backswing then transition then down swing then impact then
finish. Sometimes the takeaway might cause a chain reaction of bad events.?

  4. this is why i like watching your videos mark i have improved my game so
much more from them than when i went and saw a local instructor because
they were all about the “positions” and not about how my swing in
particular influences bad shots, i watched a few of your videos and my ball
striking has improved 10 fold. i went from shooting in the mid to high 80s
to shooting most of my rounds in the high 70s and shot a 74 yesterday (par
    72) on a course i have never played. thanks for the help mate keep up the
    great work

    cheers!?

  5. tip for grass range practise: hit first few shots moving along so that
divots join together alongside each other. then work back along this strip
hitting balls from the grass just behind these divots. repeat process. this
will enable you to have proper conditions to hit ball from while minimising
    total range footprint. yw.?
