It was interesting to learn that that reducing the sole of the Hybrid 775
HS Wishon Golf Club or hybrid club in general will allow for a solid
on-center hit and or allow for the club head to go through the rough
easier. Also, knowing that adjusting the lie angle of a hybrid club is just
as easy as adjusting the lie angle of a long iron makes getting hybrid
clubs and replacing your long irons almost a no brainer.
I can appreciate your strategy to have the hybrids feel more like the irons
that they are replacing in the bag. To often hybrids are basically fairway
woods with a smaller head, the length to match the irons will help amateurs
integrate your hybrids into their bag without having to adjust their stance
or hand position.
In general I am not a fan of hybrids, but I do like the split level sole
design which allows smoother strike through the grass. I also like the soft
steel hozel allowing to adjust the lie angle without breakage.
This hybrid has some pretty cool features. Key on the hybrids is to make
sure they are replacing the irons in terms of distance (no point in hitting
a 4 hybrid 220, when you hit a 4 iron 190…know what I mean?) Wishon has
designed more golf clubs than anyone…EVER! Wishon maximized the COR of
the 3 wood to .803 6 years before Rocketballz (worst name EVER!)
I love hybrids and watching this video really made me understand the
process on how make and use the hybrids better.
This video explains that hybrids can be a replacement for your long irons.
These hybrids will help you with long approach shots into the green without
having to adjust you stance or hands.
This video, again, is another advertisement for wishon golf clubs. the
ability of the hybrid to be varied in lie angle through the hozzle is a
good idea though.
I understand that this is a Wishon golf video and he is going to be pushing
his clubs, but I do like the ideas that he presented in the video with
regards to look and feel for the player and the ability to specifically fit
the lie angle and of the club
