Hi Kirk,
I’ve been experimenting moving from minimalist to Moe Norman style but
failing. The minimalist style seems a lot easier although I may be
overdoing the trailing upper arm connection with the body (ie. elbow stuck
in the side during the swing trying to get the correct plane). How did Moe
know whether he was swinging on the correct plane and not too flat or
upright (was it just trial and error)? The biomechanics of my body seem to
favour a more upright backswing (ie. more upright than my shoulder plane),
and trying to make it flatter (digging that trailing elbow into the body to
keep connected) is making the swing less fluent and more manipulated with
resultant errant shots. Is there a vertical drop in the minimalist swing or
does that only apply to Moe’s swing? Also, am I correct in assuming that
Moe seems to have very rigid (almost locked legs at address)? If yes was
there any reasoning for doing that??
Hi Kirk- I just started trying to learn your minimalist swing and love it
so far. Thank you so much for sharing your golf knowledge. I have 2 quick
questions- 1- Since switching to your swing, I seem to be struggling with
hitting the ball off the toe. Do you have any basic suggestions/ideas of
what I may be doing wrong? 2- When pre-setting your hips forward, how do
you differentiate between pushing them too far forward and not pushing them
forward enough? Is there a particular feeling I can look for? Thanks so
much! ?
I can appreciate you saying that you invented this swing.. sorry sir but
what your doing is the Moe Norman swing with a little variation and also
the stack and tilt… I would say that its an in between of the two but you
did not invent either… thanks for your time.?
Most hit the ball farther as their path improves and with the single plane
setup they also return the clubface square more often. Check out my other
videos and you can see me hitting some more shots.
Distance is as far as with the conventional swing. I can alternate between
single plane and conventional and on average single plane is actually
father, but on perfect shots about the same. I just hit more perfect shots
with single plane that is why the average would be higher. From my
experience people gain distance with it.

What kind of distance do you get with this swing.
