Got my JPX EZ Forged irons with KBS Tour R shafts and 2 degree up! LOVE
EM!!!! Oh yeah, I’m a 4.5 handicap so the EZ over the 54 for me still
wasn’t so difficult.?
Great video mark.
One question… if the EZ Forged are 2 degrees stronger than the MP54, why
do they have the same launch angle off the face? Shouldn’t the EZ forged
increase distance be down to both a decrease in spin and a lower launch
angle??
I ordered the MP 54 with KBS Tour R shaft, which hits the ball a bit high
so I went 2o stronger lofts. Now I have xlint feel AND distance. Great
Videos Mark and greetings from Santa Cruz, California.?
Hi Guys, i’m an 11 handicap (coming down quickly from around 13-14) looking
to be in single figures in the next month or so. I’m currently hitting
Callaway X-Hot irons, i’m a strong hitter so I have +1.5 inch shaft in True
Temper 85 speed step. I’m hitting my 7 iron between 160-170 meters (180-190
yards) and am looking at the Mizuno MP-54 or JPX EX Forged. Looks like the
forged might be better for me, just wanted some feedback!
Thanks?
Mark used the a C Taper shaft. that’s a low spinning shaft. use something
that has more spin the EZ could get more spin.?
Hi Mark, I am looking to buy MP54 or JPX EZ. I am mid to high handicap. I
used to play using TaylorMade RAC LT irons and not sure which of these
Mizuno brands would be more suitable.
Any advice?
Cheers?
Mizuno MP54 irons compared with Mizuno JPX EZ Forged with @ForesightEurope

Hi Mark
What would u rec??
Wilson FG forged, Mizuno MP54 or Titleist AP2
Need ur help ASP?
Excellent video. Have just ordered a set of MP54’s (with 1* stronger lofts)
to replace my current i20 irons. I didn’t seriously consider the EZ forged
as it was ‘love at first hit’ with the MP54’s. Simply stunning looking and
performing irons.?
Meant AP2 714 (typo in the last comment)
Interesting comment. I have never hit the 52s so can’t comment on those.
However I have the 53s which I am very happy with – great feel, control and
distance. My MP53s have the True Temper Dynalite Gold XP R300 shafts.
Nice review. I’m waiting on my set of 54’s to replace my 53’s. Mark, when
you do a comparison like this it would also be helpful if you can speak to
which iron is more accurate. I’m sure your Trackman will have a yards
offline number. Thanks!
54 vs AP2 715 vs X Forged would be nice since lofts are now identical. I
don’t understand how the launch on the EZ forged can be the same as the 54
if the lofts are different 6 iron vs 6 iron. I though the EZ had jacked up
lofts?
c-tapers with the ez forged is a nice match for good distance that wont
balloon on ya, well done again Mark, cheers. i still love my mp-63’s with
the kbs tours but those 54’s are tempting
Mark: Love your videos and the work you do to provide us with such timely
information on new clubs. However, even with a very large monitor I am
unable to decipher the “Club Fitting Data Summary” charts you include –
this current video being a perfect example. If there is a way to cut down
on the volume of information (by 50%) through eliminating several columns,
you might have a readable, useful chart. Another option – make it a full
page display. Otherwise it is likely a waste of time.
Great test Mark, but is there a big difference between my JPX 800 Pro and
this Irons?
Bullshit, well you are a fool then
What about L/H availability ? I know in the past Mizuno have neglected this
market .
After watching your video went to my local fitting centre and tried both
clubs. I have ordered the MP54’s having previously played MP60’s. Now have
Ping i20’s. So changing these for the MP54’s. Also order MP T4 satin gap
wedge. Cannot wait till they arrive. For me the feel and looks of the
MP54’s were the deciding factors over the EZ’s.
great vid I’m wondering whether to get cobra amp cell irons or the Mizuno
jpx ez I’m a high handy capper 30 what do you think
Mark, Is this your first “green screen” video?
I think there’s another element to deciding on clubs that never gets
mentioned. Its about where you want your game to go. If I’ve maxed out my
ball striking capacity, then I think I’d be more focused on getting the
most forgiving clubs for your game. Whereas if I’m looking to improve my
strikes, I wouldn’t want clubs that allow me to learn ‘bad habits’ ….. at
least that’s my thinking.

Great review Mark, I tested both of these irons yesterday and I was getting
2,136 rpm more with the MP54’s. I tried out TaylorMade RocketBladeZ Tour,
Callaway X Forged, Mizuno MP54 & JPX EZ… Now just waiting for my MP54’s
to arrive! They were phenomenal.
+1 Testing a clubs ‘workability’, now that would be useful.
