Hi mark, great golf swing weekly fix as always. I was wondering if you
could answer a question for me. I’m about to purchase Mizuno Mp-64’s and
getting them one degree strong in loft. Could you maybe do a vIdeo on how
much bending the loft/ lie angle of clubs bounce or angle of the leading
edge. Is it minimal, none or a noticeable difference? Thanks in advance for
any response, keep up the good work
Question-what was your handicap when you were 16 ?
But I just wonder what kind of potential distance I could get if i could
keep the ball straight. I’ve tried almost everything and all I can put it
down to is that my driver has to much flex for my club head speed and the
face is open on contact because of this.
Cheers for the reply, I play off a 2 handicap with CB’s and have considered
adding a weak hybrid (24 degrees or so), I am considering the 712u due to
its apparent workability with shot shape and out of varying lies. Only
debate going on in my head is the fact that the diference in a good strike
with a 2 iron in comparison to a hybrid is basically the difference between
a 5 iron and a wedge haha… whole different game
Wow I love the look of that š thanks for your help š
Another option regarding very long and dense rough is to take a penalty
drop if you are able to for an unplayable lie. Should save embarrassment
ans/or injury.
exercise of the week, super!!
I’ve noticed that in my wedges, I consistently catch them a tad to close to
the heel causing me to lose some distance. I was wondering if you Mark, or
anyone else, could provide a possible tip!
Is it bad if the club touches my shoulder in backswing?
Same
I would check the wrx golf forum or hackersparadise on it, endless info and
opinions. Shaping shots out of varying lies sounds like it came from a
Titleist promo though, although since your looking at a higher degree
utility could be fine. What degree is your 4i? These days the lofts are so
jacked a 4i is at 24 or lower anyway, TM has there new rocketbladez 4i at
20 ffs.
Hi Mark, love the vids! I hear you say alot about ‘checking a persons
numbers’ referring to trackman, gc2, etc. Can you please explain what
exactly you mean by this, and what you would look for and how that would
relate to a players swing? I have booked myself in to use one at a local
golf store and I really want to understand what they all mean before I go.
Thanks!
Mark,
You do not need Mark for this, go to one of the big golf forums. See the
club Mickelson was using at the US open? A 12.5 degree Callaway 3 deep.
There is debate that the current driver heads are actually too large and
actually more inconsistent. Check out some smaller head drivers, Yonex has
a 380cc head from years back, or a lower loft 2-3 wood; Cobra has one
called the long tom but you would have to replace the stock shaft but it is
hard to go past the 3 deep.
Probably should work on the short game if your a 15 and can hit it that far
too
Mark great job as always! I have been watching your videos for nearly a
year now and they have drastically improved my golf game (25 to 11 handicap
in 12 months). I’m always amazed that in every single video there is a bit
of advice/info that I can take and put into my golf game and swing. Keep up
the work mate
Hey Mark, could you (if you haven’t already) make a video describing
“throwing the club.” I play close to scratch golf but as of late I’ve been
catching my shots a bit thin and losing a little bit of distance because of
it. I seem to catch the ball just a tidge too early and it becomes a bit
frustrating. Perhaps the last video you analyzed is similar to what I am
asking.
Hey guys, started a blog to chronicle my journey to become a scratch
golfer. If you could please take a second and just give it a look, Iād
appreciate it and hey if you enjoy it, please come back! Thanks, site is
bluecrew27 . wordpress . com
Were do I send you a vid of my swing? Thanks
@thebuckley98. Go get some lessons before you concentrated on your equipment
I’m a new golfer with a horrible slice, on my driver especially. I was
wondering what kind brand and model of driver would be best for me?
Mark, thanks for the Hands out tip, I’m the guy with the driver. I’m going
to work on the hands out feeling to get a bit more width. My numbers aren’t
trackman, but on a bad swing like the one in the vid, I’m azimuth -3’ish
with swing speed at 108mph ball speed obviously varies but ranges in the
145 to 165 range. that ball flight was lower and starting left & moving to
the right. My common miss. I must thank you for getting my grip back on
track, club had crept into my palm!
Mark, your last point is exactly what i have been working on recently with
regards to pushing the arms away. great advice as always!!
Thanks for the ‘hands out’ tip
Is There any other way of sending in my swing as I would like to know what
u think love the vids thanks
