  1. i have one of these and i am sattisfied with the power but i am going to
chiptune mine diesel it will have 142 horsepower and when iremove the
filter it willl have like 155 horse power 5 more than a standart 2.0 tdi
already got r32 rims with audi rs4 color and a subwoofer that fits in the
space from the spare wheel love the car :$?

  2. It seems like a lot of people give the 1.6 a lot of flack for being
    underpowered, what do you think??

  3. Why can’t I find your other video with that very same Golf ??? Can you
    please re-upload, I loved it!!!?

  4. nonsense… the new common rails are very quiet, there are some older pd
examples that are on the loud side (not loud .. just the sound is kinda
harsh instead of being soft) but even those get easily drowned out with ac
fan… older 1.9 diesels before they installed balancer shafts had a bit of
a droning noise on highway but that is all gone these days…

  5. Well the last VAG car I drove was the previous Golf 6 with the base engine.
I’m sorry man, makes too much noise for me. Especially when I compare it to
our ford focus now (which is isolated like no other car in it’s class). I
like a bit of engine sound, but the VAG’s for now produce too much sound
    (in Golf or equivalent class)

  6. I always found that the sound in any VAG car (golf or equivalent of Seat
and Skoda) just let through too much noise from the engine. Especially when
you have VAG’s diesel engines that sound like freaking tractor engines.

  7. Did you drive one with dsg as well? I was thinking about buying one with
dsg but it might be really boring to drive.

  8. The ford is a petrol engine (in ours). I have driven the diesel version
however and it was indeed a tad slow. The french engines..well yeah, having
driven a peugeot 406 for 10 years they are not the most fun engines, but
they are rather orientated on comfort. Our current 2012 S60 is a diesel 5
cyl 163hp but I can’t really compare it to the golf because it wouldn’t be
fair for the golf as it’s not the same class :). Indeed to each it’s own,
we can’t all like the same car 😀

  9. well… i can see what you mean but i would still choose the golf any
day… i drove the new citroen c4 1.6 hdi a while ago and also the engine
felt very isolated but there was a problem – it has no guts! you need to
rev it up to get going, and the chassis felt a bit soft and didnt track on
highway too well whereas the vw tdi’s have a pretty nice low end torque, im
not familiar with the new focus but based on reviews it’s gone far too
soft, unlike last gen (atleast for me)… but to each his own

  10. Golf is the shit. Every 3 thou km – two mass wheel destroys engine and
gearbox. Fixing it is worthless as its uneconomical to fix it. Better buy
Peugeot. With Peugeot 406 Warsaw taxi drivers made more than ONE MILLION
    kiliometers each.
