  1. dude, if you dont need to hit down on it, why do every other instructor or
pro golfer or golf commentator say that all the time(you have to hit down
    on it) LOL man?

  2. do you really think amateurs are going to remember all this when trying to
    hit a golf ball? lol
    ?

  3. But Why? Why does this give you more spin? It seems to me that the steeper
you come down the easier it is to make solid contact, and having good
contact will give you your maximum amount of spin. I would take consistent
ball striking over better compression any day. ?

  4. So, why all this trouble to deloft the club? Why not just use a club that
is slightly less lofted? What would be the difference with using a less
    lofted club??

  5. I think your average weekend golfer (and even your highly skilled golfer
who can break 80) lacks the strength and flexibility to maintain their
spine angle into impact and “stay in the shot.” Adam Scott is a
world-class athlete. Even if (we mortals) could swing out of our shoes and
ocassionally attain a driver swing speed of 105 mph, I think it would be
terribly out of balance with erratic “inconsistent” results. To watch Adam
Scott’s swing on the driving range at a PGA tour event is to watch
effortless beauty. One in a million. TV doesn’t do it justice. If I had
his physical assets I suppose I too could deloft a PW and hit it 150 yards
into the wind. But this pot-bellied 44 year old (mere mortal) will keep
using his 7-8 iron with true loft and avoid neck, knee and , back problems,
and will surrender to the fact that true mastery cannot be attained by
everyone. But maybe for some of us, that’s the whole point. And so we keep
    swinging. ?

  6. I think I compressed a golf ball for the first time using the square to
square technique today. I hit a 4 iron 240, it made a sound I had never
heard before when I struck the ball. man I love you tube, thanks guys?

  7. unless im mistaken, adam seems to have a body release, you say his swing is
close to your method yet you promote ‘dumping the club at the ball’ in your
other videos. adams arms are tightly compacted even through the follow
thru, theres no flipping his right hand and throwing the club at the ball
    here. ?

  8. I pretty much plan on a mis-hit on my irons. On the rare occasion I ‘pure’
an iron , it’s certainly going over the green.?

  9. Adam Scott is a cheater! Using anchored putting bahhh! He cheated in the
    masters.
All his 2013 wins should not count. Lets ask this question. If anchored
putting was illegal and Adam Scott had to putt like the rest of the true
blues would he of still won the masters? I can’t wait until they ban
anchored putting. It should of been banned long ago. Anchored putting is
closer to a robot machine putting then a non anchored swing is. That pretty
much says everything. Tiger woods and all the other golfers who do not
cheat when they putt are the true blues of the sport. Adam Scott and the
rest of the cheaters belong in the anchored putting cheating tour. Tigers
    2013 wins count. Adam Scott’s wins do/should not. ?

  10. You are talking about a factor called spin loft, which is different than
spin of the ball. The lower the spin loft the higher the compression. A
lower spin loft doesn’t always mean lower spin, due to friction rates.
There is an optimal angle where you can maximize both spin of the ball and
    compression. ~Clay Ballard

  11. I’ve watched other videos where they say that angle represents spin. Are
compression and spin relative to each other?

  12. Aye Chuck two questions I hit a high shot should I … get clubs delofted?
or take a more swallow swing?

  13. Hello Thomas, this is Clay from the video. The average angle of attack is
just around -5* angle of attack. ~Clay Ballard.

  14. Hey akaBPhife. This is Clay (from the video). You will want to work on
delofting the club. There is a great drill in the beginning of the video
attached that will go over how to deloft the club and help you to get some
more compression. Also the knuckles down video on the site will help. ~Clay
    Ballard

  15. I am looking forward to seeing you around the website. Good luck with your
    game! ~Clay Ballard
