  1. Ahhhhhh Golf Jedi Master you are!
Grip was strong it was! Snap hooks he hit!
    Problem fixed it is now!
You sir ARE a legend! What a way to end end the year with possibly the BEST
    coaching ever.
    Brill buddy!?

  2. From the looks of it Mark’s got some huge mitts. I wonder if that crazy
grip is partly due to his XXXL hands trying to find a way to work
“normally” on a standard sized grip? With the base of the fingers of his
left hand under the club per usual his hand would naturally wrap around and
sit more on top, then he puts the right on in a Vardon the only place to go
is underneath… Then from there he builds a swing that works with the
strong grip and it spirals – more inside, blocks, stronger grip… ?

  3. For sure learning to hit the ball properly is much more important than,
    equipment or fitting.
How long had he been struggling to play golf with that grip and swing ?.
155 yards with a 9iron is a bit unbelievable though, i am not a good
golfer, but i have been down to a 6 handicap , when i had lots of time to
practice, but i only hit a 9 iron 110-120 yards?

  4. BEST GOLF SWING CHANGE EVER! This truly is a MUST WATCH!

See what changed in less than 1 hour! RT if impressed!?

  5. Great video and congratulations to Mark. Wish my coach could help me that
    much. Perhaps I should change??

  6. Thanks for the effort you put into these videos, very helpful. Have a
great Holiday season and thanks again for all your hard work….?

  7. Jeez is he holding that club or trying to murder it? The funny thing is
that he obviously didn’t realise the problem. This is why you have lessons
    – things you don’t think are problems, are.?

  8. I have been playing golf for ages and had the same bats for a long time
(mid-late 90s). My 9iron maxs out at 110 yards. Is this me or the golf
clubs? The clubs were 2nd hand when I bought them a whole set of irons
    3-sw for £30?

  9. Nice work Rick and GREAT job Mark! I’ve been enjoying watching the Ryder
Cup highlights here outside of Philadelphia, PA, (US). I’m living my golf
vicariously through your You-tube videos. Keep up the good work gents. I
look forward to seeing your consistent improvement as Rick’s advice has
    helped my game.?

  10. So amazing 155ys with 9iron congratulation^^ @Rick Shiels PGA what is
    Mark’s club speed?? ?

  11. Hello Rick, great illustration of how quickly competent instruction can
help an individual improve. And just think of the massive gain in enjoyment
now when playing after only the one hour lesson! Fantastic! Great job and
    video! Lou?

  12. Did Mark have a handicap ? I can’t fathom how he hits his driver, woods
even his putter, he must have been incredibly pleased with himself after
your lesson and optimistic about golf in general. I hope you keep us
    updated with his progression .?

  13. Rick surely that grip had to be put on just for some video time lol. You
only have to have a look around to realize that your grip was wrong. What
did his friend say to him when he turned up to play????

  14. +Rick Shiels PGA That is quite remarkable given that starting position,
never seen anyone with a grip like that. Great result.?

  15. I almost want to slap who ever taught Mark to play golf the first time.
That’s not even funny. It’s almost like his mates did a practical joke on
him when he started and then nobody cared to tell him about the joke.?

  16. Rick, you should go back to doing some videos like this, similar to your
very first ones you ever did but with this new style, they’re awesome.?

  17. hey rick, you have the s55’s in the bag. but why not the srixons? you got
fantastic numbers from them. I’d love to know why you chose the s55’s.
Please reply~ im in search of new clubs?

  18. Thats the maddest grip i’ve ever seen – it must have been really hard for
this dude to change his grip to anywhere near normal!?

  19. Awesome improvement. I have only had one lesson with rick so far and he has
got me striking the ball better. If anyone is thinking of having lessons I
    would highly recommend him.?

  20. Great job by you and Mark..The student has to be able to be taught as well
    so credit to him too.?

  21. good vision and great coaching Rick – good luck Mark it would be good to
    see how you progress?
