  3. Mark this is great ….. I picked up slight chichken wing recently then
struggled with the follow through…. loads of slice with driver. This one
    really helps me out….?

  4. Marc,
Ithink you’re wrong on the chicken wing. Most amateurs don’t chicken wing
because they are holding on to their release. Most stop turning their hips
too early, hence releasing their hands too early. The chicken wing is caused
by a subconscious adjustment made during the swing when he feels the club
is going to crash into the ground before hitting the ball.

  5. Hi ,Mark,
I noticed Rick Shiels is nearly jumping out of his boots at impact with
    the driver,
is this a good thing to have in a golf swing and what does it do for a golf
    swing.Thanks.?

  6. The whole concept of game improvement is marketing and silly. Someone is
told they’re not good enough to hit a blade then they’ll believe it. The
cavity backs and 460cc headed drivers just mean that a swing flaw has a
plaster put on it and the player never improves as their technique doesn’t
improve. No one starts off being able to hit blades but they give feedback,
    which means you’ll improve.

  7. Mark to me it feels like my left shoulder turns and my arms follow, the big
muscles swing the club is what I’m saying

  8. I’m not sure about that questions i just sent. it didn’t make any sense to
me and i haven’t had a drink yet.. What i would like to know is if you can
do a vid on how to hold off on the release. my pro is having me practice
coming across my body and hold off on the release.. i believe its to aid me
    to quite my hands down.

  9. Thanks Mark for another great drill! As I have been working on the
mechanics of my swing in the damp, cold winter of Finland I had completely
forgotten to “release” and go for it. Gained measurable improvementnt on my
FlightScope stats yesterday, higher smash, higher club speed and a push
turned in to a slight fade! Still trying to get to the inside… Averaging
5 deg. of outside path with 2 deg. of shut face at impact. Any further
    drills on that?

  10. Great video mark. I suffer from a combination of not clearing my hips/early
extension and then because of this the dreaded chicken wing. I’ve tried
everything to get my hips to rotate out of the way but just can’t seem to
    do it. Any advice?

  12. Robbo, i had the same issue, the feeling that helps me to clear the hips is
to have the feeling of my weight on the outside of my left foot, almost
like straightening my left leg through impact

  13. Can’t wait to get to the range tomorrow to try this out. Hit 3 massive left
to right slices on the course today, apart from the embarrassment it kills
the round. Will let you know how it goes!

  14. Hey love your videos. Ive only been playing about 8 months hit the ball
fine at the range but when i get on the course i keep taking a chunk of
grass out just behind the ball causing the ball to roll just a couple of
feet what am i doing wrong. Email codykieran@aol.co.uk
