  1. Hi Kirk
    I tried this on the range today and was really impressed. Hitting the irons
    was amazingly easy although took a bit of practice getting the correct
    timing with my three wood mainly because of 24 years using the conventional
    2 plane left arm type swing (Leslie King) . But after tweaking the ball
    position I starting striking even my 3 wood dead straight and very pure
    (ie.out of the centre of the face ). Some questions if you don’t mind. Do
    you feel as if your wrists and arms are more active in the backswing
    compared to the body (ie. the body moves to facilitate the movement of the
    arms and wrists but still stay connected)? Or is it the active turning of
    the hips and torso that are more active causing passive movement of the
    arms and hinging of the wrists (but still stay connected)??

  2. Hi Kirk, excellent stuff here, glad I came across you. I am sure you’ve
    gotten this before, but as I watch more of your videos the clearer it
    becomes that your swing pattern is very, very similar to the TGM hitting
    style, espoused by Lynn Blake, Ted Fort, Jeff Mann, etc. Would you
    yourself characterize it as such or are there key differences between the
    patterns that I am missing here??

  3. When you pre set your shoulder turn does your weight stay on the left on
    the backswing or does it move back to the right?

  4. Hi Kirk. When you close your shoulders with minimalist swing (for a right
    handed golfer) does the face of the club then point to the right or does it
    stay square to the target? ?

  5. I think this is really going to help me fine tune my approach to a
    repeatable impact zone. This intro video illustrated how to make a few
    changes that should not only save my back but improve my distance and
    accuracy.

  6. Hi Kirk, On your one plane swing, where you move the club back like Moe
    Norman just before starting your backswing, does the face stay “at the
    target” as you take the club back straight back? Or does it start to
    open up a little when you reset the club back on the ground since it is
    actually on a little arc. On the driver, where you reset it back down
    almost a foot behind the ball, it seems like it may be actually open a
    little as it moves on a slight arc. Or am I going inside too soon if it
    starts to open when I reset it? Make any sense??

    I tried your set-up advice and it works pretty good. Only your advice to
    hold the right arm close to body does not work for me.
    Can you explane why you advice a tllted to the right spine at adress?
    Is the minimimalist single plane swing the same as your single plane swing?

  8. Part of the release of the wrist is lost if you stay on the single plane
    through the middle of the back so that could be why a bit of distance is
    lost Victoria. Most people think of the release being the turning over of
    the hands at impact but there is another release and that is the movement
    down towards the ground at impact (where the left arm/wrist/club all
    straighten up at impact). It doesn’t seem possible to get that release
    downwards with the one plane swing.?

  9. i been hitting balls this way for the last 20 or so years . i had only one
    lesson in my life but found it too hard to learn conventional way so i
    invented my own swing little did i know i was using a single plane swine
    but after seeing your video i just realize that my swing is not that unique
    after all even though i been told a thousand time how unusual a swing a had
    but is it so repeating and accurate. I play off a 3 handicap and have shot
    under par on many occasion when i putt well but its always been my
    weakness. well its good to know that i am not that much of a freak
    anymore. ?

    “minimalist” single plane swing? What are the advantages and disadvantages
    of the minimalist swing as compared to the “regular” single plane swing?

  11. I started using this method about a month ago and my consistency has
    improved quite a bit .My only problem is because of the way I address the
    ball with the club shaft more flat than on an angle. With my lower irons
    (mainly 5 and 6 I feel I’m standing up a bit too straight and maybe losing
    a little balance .I was thinking of cutting just those 2 irons just a
    little bit maybe to match my 7 .Is this a good idea or will it compromise
    the integrity of the club??

    is incredible and as we know Moe never had back problems. Thanks for you

  14. Kirk, I am using the Moe Norman swing plane for 9 months and comparing your
    swing to mine. The swings are very comparable, and I agree the results are
    amazing and simple to repeat. I have noticed decreased yardage in my iron
    shots, yet the Driver and fairway woods have shown no distance loss. I
    would estimate distance loss on a 7 iron is from 150 yards to 140 yards. My
    iron trajectory is also similar to yours. I am playing at least 4 times a
    week. I’m puzzled about the distance loss.

  15. No problem. I developed my swing through my one of a kind training program,
    which has you doing seven drills regularly. They will help anybody build a
    super golf swing if done regularly.

  17. Kirk do you think this is the easiest golf swing on the back? Natural Golf,
    LPG not enough distance. I love Ballard but one round and I am out for 3
    days. Thanks in advance for your reply.
